Blood Orange Martini

Give this classic cocktail a ghoulish makeover with a twist of blood orange. While the appearance of this cocktail might be frightful, the taste is anything but.

Ingredients:

Method:
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice and shake for 15 seconds. Strain into a frozen martini glass and garnish with a slice of blood orange.

The Gravedigger

Digging graves is tough work, so it seems only fitting to commemorate the poor souls toiling in the graveyard with an equally tough bourbon-based cocktail. The dry ice gives this drink an extra spooky effect, reminiscent of mysterious fog rolling through a cemetery.

Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • Dry ice, to garnish

Method:

Combine cider, bourbon, and ginger ale in a tumbler over ice. Add lime, garnish with dry ice for a mysterious effect (be careful not to consume the dry ice while drinking).

The Zombie

With three types of rum (and peach liqueur), this cocktail is so delicious that it could raise the dead from their graves. Enjoy at your own peril.

Ingredients:

  • 75mL pineapple juice
  • 30mL fresh lime juice
  • 15mL grenadine syrup
  • Ice
  • Maraschino cherries, to garnish
  • Mint leaves, to garnish

Method:

Build ingredients in a tall glass over ice, stirring to combine. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a maraschino cherry.

Scary Sangria

This is the perfect drink to serve at a Halloween party. The grenadine will give the sangria a bloody hue, while the sour squirms add that much desired fresh-grave aesthetic.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of Obikwa Merlot
  • 120mL Vodka 0
  • 500mL ginger ale
  • 60mL grenadine
  • 1 blood orange (sliced)
  • 1 lemon (sliced)
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of sour squirms (or snake lollies)

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl and stir to combine. Garnish with a handful of sour squirms or snakes. Serves 4.
