Christmas in July Jingle Juice Punch

Deck the halls and get into the Christmas spirit with a fun and fruity punch that’s as easy to serve to guests as it is to mix up.

Whether you’re tasked with hosting the group or in charge of bringing the booze, stirring up a punch for a crowd is always a good idea. It’s quick, fuss-free and you can keep topping it up throughout the festivities as guests are sipping away.

Plus, did we mention it’s only 4 ingredients? Jarrod the @diycocktailguy puts a spin on a classic punch recipe by stirring up raspberry vodka, rosé, Sprite and fresh pomegranate for a pink-hued, fruity punch. It bucks the trend of mulled wine for winter, but “this is the perfect batch cocktail for your Christmas in July parties,” he adds.

Without further ado, let’s get stirring!

How to make:

Ingredients:

1 cup of Grainshaker Raspberry Vodka

1 bottle of Canard Duchêne Brut Rosé

1 litre of Sprite

Fresh pomegranate

Fresh rosemary and cherries, to garnish

Method:

  1. First off, add plenty of ice to your punch dispenser. Then, you’ll want to start squeezing fresh pomegranate juice and seeds into your punch bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup of Grainshaker Raspberry Vodka along with 1 bottle of the Canard Duchêne Brut Rosé
  3. Add your bottle of Sprite.
  4. Pour into your glasses and add a fresh rosemary sprig and cherries to top it off.

Secret Santa gift ideas for every budget and taste

Christmas in July means the season of Secret Santa and Kris Kringle is upon us! Whether it’s amongst your friend group, housemates, your family or in your workplace, a spree of mid-year gift giving brings the festive cheer. But you want to avoid the stress that comes with gift giving, so here are a few of our top bottles to gift this Christmas in July.

Secret Santa gifts for… I’m on a budget but I love a good tipple.

One of New Zealand’s best value wines, the Rapaura Springs Sauvignon Blanc is a multi-award winning drop at an unbelievably good price point. If you’re after something with bubbles, the Chandon Garden Spritz is also a winning choice without the price tag. Picture a juicy blood orange spritz that would look at home at a bougie picnic or brunch.

Everyone loves champagne and the great value Canard Duchêne NV Brut Champagne is an easy pick that’s guaranteed to be a crowd-favourite. It also comes in a beautiful gift box, so no wrapping is needed. Win-win! For something a little richer, we love the fruit-forward Penfolds Max’s Promise Shiraz.

A striking gift box and a delicious scotch — we’re talking about the honeyed Chivas Regal Extra 13YO Bourbon Cask Scotch Whisky of course! If you’re wanting to go down the bubbles route, you can’t go wrong with the Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut NV for a fancy bottle that everyone will love.

By now you’ve got your gifts sorted and your crowd-pleasing Jingle Juice Punch chilling in the fridge. Check out what other drinks you should add to the line-up for your Christmas-themed celebrations here
