When you think of a spritz, your mind probably travels straight to a trusty Aperol Spritz. The classic Aperol Spritz recipe came to be when visiting Austro-Hungarians to Veneto, Italy would add a dash — or spritz — of soda water to Italian wine to dilute it. Over time, prosecco would become the wine of choice in a spritz and aperitifs like Aperol or Campari were added for bittersweet depth of flavour.
