The Stats: Vale has been crafting beers since 2008 and has been named the Champion Reduced Alcohol Beer at the 2017 Royal Adelaide Beer and Cider Awards, and was the winner of the Hottest 100 Craft Beer in 2010.
Founded as the McLaren Vale Beer Company, Vale had humble beginnings. What started as small runs of the original Vale Ale, took a turn in 2012 with the installation of a mighty brewing apparatus in Willunga that allowed the brewery to get creative and take some chances. Safe to say, it paid off.
In 2015, the Collin brothers took full control of the operation, changing the name to Vale Brewing and, in their words, “punching above our weight” to bring home some fancy beer awards. The brew team take to their work like an artist to canvas: the creativity and colour presented in the finished products, is proof that the right tools in the right hands can craft truly special things.
McLaren Vale has a grand tradition of creating quality produce and craft. Vale embraces that tradition and the expectations that come along with it. The Vale’s reputation is both a solid foundation and a bar that they strive to raise.
As for the jewel in Vale’s crown, that would be their beloved Pale Ale. The beer of choice for many Australians, Vale has refined and crafted this brew since 2008. The Vale Mid Coast Bright Ale was created in 2016 as an ode to the stunning South Australian coastline. This beer was created as an option for those wanting an alcoholic beverage with less alcohol content. It’s a beer that doesn’t hold off on the hoppy, bold flavours that punters love and is the perfect tribute to the long-lasting Aussie summer.
